Jacksonville Beach wraps up regular season play on day two of Gamecock Grand Slam

COLUMBIA, SC. – Jacksonville Beach Volleyball took part in day two of the Gamecock Grand Slam, taking on LSU in the morning and Coastal Carolina in the afternoon.

In the first game of the day against the #10 ranked Tigers, the Dolphins were defeated 5-0. Anna Erickson/Olivia Szyskiewicz won their first set 21-14, but could not continue in the remaining two sets. Couple fives Hayden Garnett/Miller Reames also won their first set 24-22, but unfortunately also lost the last two sets.

In the afternoon game, Jacksonville took on Coastal Carolina in their final game of the regular season. The Dolphins fell just short of winning, losing 3-2 to the Chanticleers. One-clutch Erickson/Szyskiewicz and four-clutch Kristina Nika/Katie Martinez won their respective matchups in straight sets.

Jacksonville Beach Volleyball has been seeded sixth in the ASUN conference tournament and will face third seed Florida Gulf Coast on Wednesday, April 24 at 3 p.m. If the Dolphins win, they will face the winner of Stetson/Central Arkansas on April 25 at 11 a.m. If the Dolphins are defeated, they will play the loser of Stetson/Central Arkansas on April 25 at 3 p.m.
