Nikki Haley welcomes husband home after National Guard deployment

Last weekend, former presidential candidate Nikki Haley welcomed her husband home after his years in the National Guard.

Charleston, South Carolina – Former presidential candidate Nikki Haley recently welcomed her husband, Michael, home from his overseas deployment with the National Guard.

On Saturday, the former South Carolina governor shared one after on X, with photos of the loving reunion.

“That moment when you finally catch your breath… It’s been a long year, but even longer without each other. Grateful for Michael’s safe return and the end of a year of prayer,” she wrote.

Michael, a major in the National Guard, has been deployed since 2006, according to Fox News.

The couples’ reunion comes more than a month after Haley withdrew from the Republican primaries.

Although she has since disappeared from the public eye, she recently was appointed chair from the Hudson Institute, a conservative foreign policy think tank.

Nikki Haley was blasted by Trump for her husband’s efforts

Haley’s popularity grew rapidly during the primaries, much to the ire of former President Donald Trump, who was the party’s frontrunner by a very wide margin.

On numerous occasions, Trump has publicly insulted Haley and her marriage, mocking her husband’s efforts and once describing her campaign as a “disgrace” to him.

In an answer Unpleasant Trump’s insultssaid Haley: “The reality is that the closest (Trump) has come to harm has been a golf ball hitting him on a golf cart.”
