‘Failed robbery’ at Albert Heijn: ‘Suspect took off part of his clothing’ | Domestic

A man robbed an Albert Heijn in Nijmegen on Saturday morning. He suspected confusion at the supermarket and grabbed the cash register. Officers are searching for him with all their might.

Just after 9 a.m., the police received a report of a robbery at the Albert Heijn on Daalseweg in Nijmegen. According to witnesses, the robber had a knife with him. He did not take anything with him, according to a police spokesperson. ‘In that case the robbery failed.’

After his act, the man took off some of his clothing. According to the spokesperson, the clothing items have been found and secured.

No injuries

The suspect has not yet been arrested. Several police cars searched the area around the supermarket for the man who often wore a purple hoodie and gray sneakers.

Officers spoke with employees in the supermarket. Nobody complicated.
