Hockey fans believe Canucks are favored to beat Predators – Kelowna News

Canucks fans talk about Round 1

The Vancouver Canucks will take on the Nashville Predators in Round 1 of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

It’s the first time they’ve played playoff hockey in front of their hometown fans in nearly a decade, so Castanet headed to Chevy’s Source for Sports in Kelowna to see how hockey fans think the series will unfold.

While many fans are simply excited to see the Canucks play meaningful hockey again in the spring, most locals believe the Canucks can handle the Predators.

While some fans expect the power play to make the difference for Vancouver, others are banking on Thatcher Demko’s goaltending to lead the way.

Quinn Hughes and Elias Pettersson are also two Canucks fans who think they will help take down Nashville.

Throughout the season series, Vancouver prevailed over Nashville in all three games, going a perfect 3-0 while defeating the Predators 13-6.

Puck drop for Game 1 will take place on Sunday at 7 p.m.
