Best NBA parlay picks for Sunday

NBA Parlay Pick 1

FanDuel logo

Tyler Herro Over 23.5 points

Kyrie Irving Over 24.5 points

Damian Lillard Over 3.5 threes

Our three-leg parlay ticket involves three guards who need big scoring nights before their teams can win their opening round.

Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro should be the big weapon for the Heat without Jimmy Butler in the lineup. Herro averaged 21 points per night over 14 games this season without Butler next to him, scoring 24 points in their play-in win over Chicago.

The Heat guard averaged 23.5 per night over three games against the Boston Celtics and I expect him to come out with plenty of fire and goals.

The Dallas Mavericks visit the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday and the Mavs get the big night they need from Kyrie Irving. He feels like Team USA rejected him; While that isn’t enough of a reason to bet on, it will fuel his already 25.6 points per game, improving to 26.5 points in his two meetings with the Clips this season.

Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard was brought in this offseason to play Robin alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo. Lillard has a great opportunity on Sunday to remind us that “Dame Time” still exists as host of the Indiana Pacers.

Lillard averaged 29 points in eight games without Antetokounmpo by his side. While it may be difficult to score that many points, he has scored more than four triples in five of those eight tilts and Indiana’s defense is allowing 10.6 triples per night.

NBA parlay pick 2

Derrick White Over 2.5 threes

Bobby Portis Less than 18.5 points

Jonas Valanciunas Under 9.5 rebounds

Our second ticket combines three props that I really like, as individual plays are fun like a three-legged parlay.

Celtics guard Derrick White is having a great game against a weakened defense in Butler’s absence. He has hit his 3-point prop number in six of his last eight games and has a great chance to do so again on Sunday.

White gets the minutes (31.8) and does something with them; he makes 2.7 on 6.5 triples per night per game at TD Garden. The Heat allow 6.3 triple attempts at the guard position; White’s previous success against Miami, combined with his consistent play at home, make this a good bet.

Bucks forward Bobby Portis has been an inconsistent scorer throughout his career, making his 18.5-point mark something to aim for on Sunday.

In their three meetings with Indiana this season, Portis has erased Sunday’s score once and only four times in his past 10 regular-season games. He’s averaging 2.7 fouls per game and he’ll have to compete inside with Myles Turner and Pascal Siakam, likely leading to the foul trouble that typically keeps the big guy off the field and below this total.

New Orleans Pelicans center Jonas Valanciunas is one of the best rebounders in the game. Still, the game script may limit his minutes and he won’t pull down 9.5 rebounds against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

He has failed to get 10 boards in seven of his previous 10 regular season games and averaged 8.0 boards in his three previous games with the Thunder. The Pelicans have had great success with their small-ball lineup, which will limit his minutes and keep Valanciunas down.
