Troopers arrest Chicago couple for shoplifting – Delaware State Police

Delaware State Police arrested a 35-year-old Fabian Jaworski and 34 years old Sandra Zelinska both from Chicago, Illinois, for shoplifting yesterday.

On April 20, 2024, at approximately 11:12 a.m., troopers responded to Lowe’s, located at 2225 Hessler Boulevard in New Castle, for a shoplifting incident. When troopers arrived, they were told that a man and a woman had stolen merchandise from the store and left in a Chrysler minivan. A short time later, a Lowe’s employee spotted the man and woman at Dunkin’ Donuts, located at 2076 Concord Pike in Wilmington. When troopers arrived at Dunkin’ Donuts, they contacted the man and woman, identified as Fabian Jaworski and Sandra Zelinska. Through investigation, troopers identified them as the shoplifting suspects and arrested them. Troopers found the stolen merchandise from Lowe’s along with other stolen property worth more than $4,000. Troopers learned that the suspects stole merchandise valued at more than $450 from Lowe’s, located at 1030 East Songsmith Drive in Bear, and merchandise valued at more than $1,900 from the Hessler Boulevard location.

Jaworski was taken to Troop 2, charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 11, and transferred to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on an $8,000 cash bond.
