Donation helps Rugby Food Bank replenish its cupboards

A charity feeding hungry Rugbeians has restocked its cupboards thanks to a donation.

Rugby Food Bank, which provides three days of emergency food to those in need, received a delivery of food and water from the Amazon fulfillment center in Rugby.

Food bank manager Adi Robinson said: “We rely heavily on donations from the community to meet the needs of the people of Rugby. Without these types of donations, we would not be able to alleviate food insecurity and improve the lives of families in the area.”

Ieuan Spanswick, one of the Amazon employees who visited the Food Bank, said: “We welcome this donation, which will hopefully benefit people in our community.

“The charity provides an important service and we wanted to show our appreciation to its staff and volunteers.”
